Choose from in-person sewing, patternmaking and guided project-based lessons in central Jerusalem, with instruction and personal guidance available in English.

Depending on availability and participants’ level of Hebrew, English speakers may learn in a dedicated English group or a bilingual English–Hebrew group. Instruction and individual guidance are available from a fluent English speaker.

Learn sewing and patternmaking in English

Sew My Style offers a choice of practical, in-person sewing and patternmaking courses for English speakers in Jerusalem.

Whether you are a complete beginner, want to improve your existing sewing skills, learn to create made-to-measure patterns or receive guidance with your own projects, you can choose the programme that best matches your goals.

English and bilingual groups

Hannah is a fluent English speaker, so explanations, demonstrations and individual guidance can be provided clearly in English.

Depending on availability, demand and each participant’s level of Hebrew, English speakers may join:

  • A dedicated English-speaking group
  • A bilingual English–Hebrew group
  • An existing group in which individual instruction is provided in English

Choose the right programme

Sewing Techniques Course

Develop strong, practical sewing skills through a structured programme. Learn the techniques needed to construct garments and other projects accurately and confidently.

This course is suitable for complete beginners and for people with some experience who want to strengthen their foundations.

Patternmaking Course

Learn to create made-to-measure patterns directly from individual body measurements and develop them into different garment styles.

The course combines technical patternmaking knowledge with practical application, helping you understand fit, shape and garment design.

Guided Group Sewing Lessons

Choose your own clothing or sewing project and work on it at your own pace with professional guidance.

For garment projects, you receive a personal fitting and patterns adapted to your measurements. You can also work on bags, accessories, home projects or another suitable sewing project.

The ongoing group meets weekly, and new participants can join whenever space is available.

Small groups and individual attention

Classes are kept small so every participant can receive personal help and guidance. You will have time to ask questions, practise techniques and receive support appropriate to your experience and project.

Location

Classes take place in our centrally located studio on Dorot Rishonim Street in Jerusalem, immediately beside the Jaffa Center light-rail stop.

Dates and registration

New courses open regularly. Available days, times and language arrangements depend on current enrolment.
